Oblivion

was it the fear
or was it the anarchy
there is so much to shear
but it let nothing but queer

dreams were ephemeral
sublimed into air
now the rationale
to absolve the tear

better the kids
nothing so tractable
now the day castigates
even the slightest of delay

dormant lies still
funny is the way
never so charmed
left brutally harmed

lost compassion
traced flouts
now equivocates
my mind still
